What is Gayborhood Radio One?
Mission: To create an online based radio broadcast service that will
serve the local public interest and needs of the GLBT communities
(gayborhoods) of Southern & Central California.
Location: Our offices and primary studios will be based out of Hillcrest in San Diego, California (San Diego's GLBT neighborhood / gayborhood). Live broadcasts will be initiated from our studios in San Diego, as well as from various other remote locations throughout our coverage community.
Service Area:
Gayborhood Radio One's regional and locally
oriented service area will encompass all of the GLBT communities throughout
Southern and Central California. Our primary target audience begins at the
Mexican / San Diego border and stretches north and east throughout San Diego
county, and then reaches onward into areas such as Palm Springs and Orange
County / Los Angeles - all the way up to the San Francisco Bay area.
Listening Venue:
Our listeners will be able to hear us
wherever they go - at home, at work, in the car, or while running, bicycling,
jogging, walking, driving, or any place else where a computer and internet
connection or a portable internet device and service is available.
Target Demographics:
Audience:
Over 1.5 million potential listeners in the Southern & Central California GLBT Community.
Primary Age Demographic: 21-49.
Secondary Target: 50-60 (Specialty Block Programming).
Programming: Gayborhood Radio One listeners will be treated to a vast array of richly divergent, high quality popular music and other unique entertainment offerings. Also, Gayborhood Radio One plans to be much more then just an entertainment venue. We will additionally provide a variety of neighborhood and community focused public service programming, promotions and
out on the street activities.
